West places in the top half at the 46th annual Edgewood wrestling invitational

West wrestling in the 46th annual Edgewood Invitational over the weekend.  Despite being without 4 starters from the starting lineup the Firebirds were still able to finish in the top half as a team.  The team was led by Aneesh Vyas who went 3-0 on his way to the championship at 285lbs.  Aneesh, who was unseeded, knocked off the #3 seed in the semifinals and then the #1 seed in the finals!  Other placers were Ty Bastin (4th @120lbs), and Matthew Szczepaniak (3rd @132lbs), and Jake Williams (3rd @160lbs).

Final results at the Edgewood Invite. Lakota West 6th out of 13. Congratulations to the following placers:
