Molly Grace and Leah Schleibaum win Districts and Qualified for State!
Molly Grace and Leah Schleibaum defeated Springboro 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) in the first round of the District tournament. They defeated Ursuline 6-3, 6-2 to secure their spot at the State Championships. On Saturday, they played two matches to determine their seed for the State Tournament. They played a tough Mason team. Although they played strong, they lost to Mason’s doubles team 2-6, 4-6. The following match was against another Mason team. We came out strong winning the first set 6-2. The girls lost the second set 2-6 and the third set in a tie breaker. Molly and Leah play a first seed qualifier on Friday, October 22nd beginning at 9:00 am. The last time a Lakota West tennis player/doubles team qualified for state was in 2012.
