This game started Friday with a 98-yard kick off return TD by David Afari and an extra point kick by Nicklaus Hjort. West led 20-14 at the time of a third-quarter lightning delay. Neither team was able to score when the game was completed Saturday morning. In addition to Afari’s spectacular kick off return to start the game, he added team-leading totals of 82 yards rushing and 27 yards receiving. Quarterback Manny Pastoria eclipsed the century mark passing with 109 yards through the air. Kendrick Crawford punched in the go-ahead TD with a 3-yard run. Hjort led the team in scoring with 8 points on 2 field goals and 2 extra points. Jalen Swanson was the leading Firebird tackler with 9 (8 solos).
