Coach of the year
Keith Castner, Lakota West: Castner was named the GMC coach of the year for the fifth time since 2006 after leading the Firebirds to 30-2 record, a league championship and a regional title. Lakota West made the state Final Four for the second time in three seasons.

Player of the year
K.K. Mathis, Lakota West: A first-team All-Ohio selection, Mathis was dominant both at the plate and in the circle this season for the Firebirds. The senior led the Greater Miami Conference in homers (13) and RBI (50) while hitting .519. She led the league in ERA (1.47) and was tied for the lead in wins (20) to go with 191 strikeouts en route to GMC athlete of the year honors.
